How Recapt works
- You get one photo per album, per day. A missed day stays missed, and shooting today does not buy you tomorrow.
- Photos seal the moment they are taken. Nobody sees them — not even you — until the month ends.
- On the 1st, the whole month develops at once. You then have a week to react, export, and save what matters.
- You can keep up to 12 photos a month on your profile. Those are permanent.
- Photos you do not keep are deleted on February 1 of the following year. This is deliberate.
Common questions
Can I import from my camera roll? No. Photos are taken in Recapt.
Can I shoot more than once a day? Not in a shared album. Your personal album has no limit.
I took a photo with no signal. It is saved on your device and uploads itself when you reconnect.
Can I edit or delete a photo after taking it? You can delete your own photos. There is no editing after the shutter.
Why is everything blurred? The month has not developed yet. It develops on the 1st.
How many people can be in an album? Up to twelve, you included. An album needs at least one other person.
Reporting and blocking
Report any photo, message, album or profile from inside the app: open the "..." menu or press and hold the content, then tap Report and choose a reason. Reports are anonymous — the person reported is never told who reported them. We review every report within 24 hours.
You can block anyone from their profile or from your Friends list. Blocking is immediate and mutual: neither of you will see the other's content.
You can also email us at the address above to report content or an account.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. Your account is scheduled for deletion after a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel by signing in again. After 30 days your profile, photos and personal data are permanently removed.
